Why I built Solver360
Hi, I'm Mr. Shiv, founder of Solver360. I started this project in November 2024 out of pure frustration. I was working as a Mechanical Engineer in Simulation — running CFD analyses and thermal simulations all day. I needed quick calculators for heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and pump calculations. But the "free" calculators I found online? Buried under pop-ups, required sign-ups, or gave me wrong results. I literally spent 30 minutes trying to do a 2-minute calculation. That night, I thought — why not just build it myself?
So I did. Started with 5 HVAC and fluid mechanics calculators I personally needed for my simulation work. Shared them with my engineering team, then posted the link on a couple of forums. Honestly, I did not expect much. But within a week, I got an email from a student in Brazil saying "Thank you! This helped me pass my thermodynamics exam!" That felt amazing. Then more emails came — a teacher from Texas, a mechanical engineer from Germany, even a high school student who was just curious about physics.
Today we have 3,890+ calculators. My wife Mrs. Shiv handles quality checks now, because I kept making typos in formulas at 2am. Ms. Saxena joined us to handle the coding side. We are a small team, but we genuinely care about getting things right.
Here's what makes us different: We actually use these calculators ourselves. I still work in simulation engineering, so when something breaks I know immediately. We read every email — yes, even the ones that say "your calculator is wrong" (and sometimes they are right, and we fix it within hours). This is not a big corporate project. How we keep results accurate
Every calculator states the formula it applies, shows its working step by step, and links to the published sources behind it where those exist. Reported errors are investigated directly by the person who wrote the calculator.
